    DEFINITION


    "The Continuous Perfect Past Tense is used to indicate that an action already started at a certain time in the past was still running."

    ● સહાયકારક ક્રિયાપદ તરીકે  'Had+Been' મુુુકવું.

    ● ક્રિયાપડનું ing વારુ રૂપ મુકવામાં આવે છે.


    વાક્યરચના:


    ◆વિધાન હકાર:


    > કર્તા(+)Had+Been(+)Ingવારુ રૂપ(+)કર્મ કે અન્યશબ્દો.

    > I had been teaching you 'continuous perfect present tense' since 11:30 a.m. at 12:30 p.m. yesterday.


    ◆વિધાન નકાર:


    > કર્તા(+)Hadn't+Been(+)Ingવારુ રૂપ(+)કર્મ કે અન્યશબ્દો.

    > I hadn't been teaching you 'passive voice' since 11:30 a.m. at 12:30 p.m.



    ◆પ્રશ્નાર્થ હકાર:


    > Had(+)કર્તા(+)Been(+)Ingવારુ રૂપ(+)કર્મ કે અન્યશબ્દો?

    > Had I been teaching you 'continuous perfect present tense' since 11:30 a.m. at 12:30 p.m. yesterday?



    ◆પ્રશ્નાર્થ નકાર:

    ચાલુ-પૂર્ણ ભુતકાળ ના ઉપયોગો:


    (1) ભુતકાળના ચોક્ક્સ સમયે અગાઉથી શરૂ કરેલ ક્રિયા ત્યારે પણ ચાલુ જ હતી તે દર્શાવવા માટે ચાલુ-પુર્ણ ભુતકાળનો ઉપયોગ થાય છે.


    Examples:

    > At 11 a.m. yesterday, children had been swimming in the swimming pool for an hour.

    > At 11:30 a.m. yesterday, some children had been crying in the class for half an hour.



    ◆ અગત્યના સૂત્રો:


    Formula(1):


    ● When(+)સાદો ભુતકાળ(+) જો ક્રમિક ઘટના તો,..(+)સાદો ભુતકાળ

    > When I entered into the class, i checked your homework.


    Formula(2):


    ● When(+)સાદો ભુતકાળ(+) જો લાંબાગાળા નું ક્રિયાપદ હોય તો,..(+) ચાલુ ભુતકાળ.

    > When I entered into the class, you were doing homework.


    Formula(3):


    ● When(+)સાદો ભુતકાળ(+) જો already કે ટૂંકાગાળાનું ક્રિયાપદ હોય તો,..(+) પૂર્ણ ભુતકાળ.

    > When I entered into the class, you had already done homework.



    (2) ભુતકાળમાં જ્યારે એક ઘટના બની ત્યારે બીજી ઘટનાની ક્રિયા અગાઉથી શરૂ કરીને ત્યારે પણ ચાલુ હતી તે દર્શાવવા ચાલુ-પૂર્ણ ભુતકાળનો ઉપયોગ થાય છે.
